This lightweight, portable firepit makes campfires possible anywhere, anytime which makes it the perfect companion for all outdoor enthusiasts. The FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Pop-Up Fire Pit is the first truly portable wood or charcoal burning fire pit.I don’t know that we will ever want to use an actual fire pit ring again!! Priced right under $100 this makes an excellent gift for overlanders, campers or even those living in small communities with limited yard space. The Fire Pit itself was cool enough to break down in about two minutes and easy to stow away in its handy carry bag. We were also able to use the pit for a quick early morning fire while preparing camp for break down and once we were ready to go we easily picked up the fire and properly disposed of it. Using the pit keeps the fire off of the ground and allow oxygen to surround the fire, keeping it stoked. The night prior to using the pit we had used a fire ring and struggled to get any kind of heat because the wood was damp and the ground was soaked. They too were very skeptical about the functionality of the pit. We used it again on a group Overlanding trip and everyone on the trip could not believe how well it worked. Our next attempt to use the pit, the assembly went much faster! Once we got the fire lit and going we were quite impressed with the amount of heat this little fire pit actually put off. As you will see in the video, that did not actually get to happen. We put it together with plans to use it at a trunk or treat event as the evening became colder. It just seemed too light to actually hold several logs of wood let alone an actual fire! Field testing When we set up the pop-up pit, we were not very impressed. Initial impressions – the lies we tell ourselves… Let me just say, we are in LOVE with the FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Pop-Up Fire Pit! It is lightweight (only 7 pounds), easy to assemble (in like 60 seconds), puts off plenty of heat and cools down quickly for pack up.
